Maggie and her 18-year-old sister, Maya, who got the tickets for her sister as a Christmas gift, put on their Canucks gear and went to the Shark Tank expecting to hear cursing and verbal abuse from the hometown crowd.
But “they were just over the moon” to go to the game, said their mother, Jaynie Herger. “I told them to be very sportsmanlike, because it’s Sharks territory.”
some people are simply stating that it’s curios the Flyers use Mac Miller.
The Flyers and their fans are very passionate. They don’t like Pittsburgh things. Miller is a Pittsburgh dude.
If I was a Penguin I would hesitate to use a song that was written by someone from Philly.
THAT’S MY OPINION.
That’s stupid. So if a song is catchy, fun, upbeat, and everyone else likes it, you aren’t going to use it just because the dude is from a rival city and probably doesn’t care that much about the rival team?
I really don’t think any player cares that much. And if they do, they need to get their heads out of their ass and focus on what’s important.
Sorry if you think it’s “rude” of me to point this out. I’m sick of the flood of posts about how Philly shouldn’t play Mac Miller for dumb reasons.
it’s also kind of dumb to say that the flyers and their fans don’t like pittsburgh “things.” last i checked, having a rivalry with SPORTS TEAMS did not mean that we hated everything pittsburgh in general. i normally don’t jump into stuff like this, but all that generalizing is just really dumb. it’s a SONG for christ’s sake, and people are allowed to enjoy it no matter WHERE they’re from. i never knew of anyone to hate anything involving music just because a band/musician was from a certain city. also, if mac miller ever stepped up and said he hated that the flyers use his song for their victory song, well that would be stupid too because clearly people are enjoying his music and it would be wrong to knock them down for that.
