I like parties, but I don't like piñatas because the piñata promotes violence against flamboyant animals. "Hey, there's a donkey with some pizzazz. Let's kick its ass." What I'm trying to say is, don't make the same Halloween costume mistake that I did.
there were a few times tonight at the show where i held myself back from tears, just tears from being SO happy to see them again. i always forget about how amazing i think they are. whenever i see them, it’s like these crazy feelings of excitement and love just rush through me and i always wonder how i can go SO long without seeing them. it’s like when i’m seeing them, everything else is completely forgotten and i’m living in the moment. me, them, and everyone else in the crowd who is quite possibly feeling the same exact way that i am. they’re not a usual band that anyone would think i’d be into, but they’re just…perfect. there’s no other way for me to explain them, or explain WHY i love them so much. it’s insane, and incredible all at the same time. midtown did the same thing to me. two bands, completely different from each other, but give me the same exact feelings. it’s amazing, really. anyway, i’m just so head over heels in love with cky and i know it’s crazy insane.
april and phil margera were there, along with brandon novak. i love watching april sing along to the songs, and that she has so much love for this band too (her son is the drummer, after all). there was a chant for phil when they walked into the venue. the chants for cky during the opening band are always to be expected. their costumes when they came out onstage, perfect. chad didn’t go as crazy with his soundboard tonight which was good because that meant more music. they played for almost 2 and a half hours. what other bands have you seen lately that do that? it’s always a fucking event seeing cky. they always run overtime, they take requests from the crowd, they’ll play whatever we want to play along with whatever they want to play. setlists? nah, they don’t exist. they have the longest encore ever. and they don’t ever just walk offstage when they’re done, they will mingle with the fans. they adore their fans so much, and you can just see all the love they have for us and we have for them. i just…ugh, tonight was incredible. i can’t even write about this anymore because words will never explain how much this band means to me.
this is one of their slower/softer songs. not a lot of people will probably see the beauty in this like i do. i’ve been thinking all night which song of theirs to post, but when they performed this live tonight i knew this had to be it. not that anyone will even listen or care.
it’s funny (to me) that two of my favorite bands are cky and cobra starship, and they’re both completely different music. and i don’t even care. i love being into different types of music, and having favorite bands from each of them. i’ve been a cky fan for a good 9 years (at least), seen them countless times, philly shows are always the best since they’re considered home town. and usually the philly shows consist of the margeras and such, an all out amazing time. i’m super excited for tonight, to see them again because they don’t tour as much as they used to. amazing band, amazing and super nice guys, and some of the best performers i have ever gotten the chance to see and meet. tonight is going to be one hell of a night.
hey…alex didn’t tip for that hair he had 3 years ago that martin ripped off. I know that for a fact. I was a witness.
LMAO i remember the receipt at bamboozle
I basically handed Sam her ticket to millions. She better give me a damn cut of it too.
haha right. oh my god thats so funny though i wonder if martin was a good tipper
I’m sure he was. Something tells me that he isn’t the type to not tip someone. And I hope his ass wasn’t hanging out of his jeans for the world to see when he got it done either because that was disgusting and I really didn’t need to see that on Alex.
i love your stories they’re the best
i love you you’re the best
i miss you
i miss you too. i feel like the what…20 min we spent at bamboozle just wasn’t enough. i wish you were closer.
it really wasn’t :( maybe sometime soon we can arrange something because that would be awesome
I think we should because that really would be awesome.
i agree! i have a car now, the only thing that restricts me from doing anything big time at the moment is school but the semester is over in december til january 11 or something i think
Its a long drive from Pittsburgh to MD though. But we’ll figure something out! OR save it for later in the year when the weather is nicer and we’re (hopefully) not drowning in snow.
"Above your head are the control buttons for your reading light and the flight attendant call button. Pushing the light control turns the light on and off. No matter how many times you push the other one, it will not turn on the flight attendants."
i’ve personally heard this. i died of laughter. i kind of love southwest a lot.
From a Southwest Airlines employee: "Welcome aboard Southwest Flight XXX to Chicago. To operate your seatbelt, insert the metal tab into the buckle, and pull tight. It works just like every other seatbelt and if you don't know how to operate one, you probably shouldn't be out in public unsupervised. In the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure, oxygen masks will descend from the ceiling. Stop screaming, grab the mask, and pull it over your face. If you have a small child traveling with you, secure your mask before assisting with theirs. If you are traveling with two small children, decide now which one you love more."
